The 2025-26 scoring chart covers the entire competition: the eight-matchday league phase for all 36 clubs plus every knockout tie from the play-off to the final. That matters in a format which gives the leading scorers more matches than their predecessors played, and it explains why several players who began the campaign outside the top eight finished the season high on the list.

The Confirmed Top Six

  • 1. Kylian Mbappé — 15 goals.
  • 2. Ousmane Dembélé — 11 goals.
  • 3. Kai Havertz — 10 goals.
  • 3. Viktor Gyökeres — 10 goals.
  • 5. Bukayo Saka — 9 goals.
  • 5. Harry Kane — 9 goals.

Four of the six played the final in Budapest, and the top two both scored in it: Havertz struck for Arsenal in the sixth minute, and Dembélé equalised for PSG from the penalty spot in the 65th.

Mbappé’s Record Campaign

Mbappé’s 15 goals placed him four clear of second place and made him the competition’s leading scorer by a margin no one else could close. He reached the total across league phase and knockout football while PSG started the knockout rounds in 11th place, which meant every goal carried extra weight in a tie that had to be won on the road.

Arsenal’s Scoring Depth

Havertz and Gyökeres shared third place on 10 goals each, with Saka a further goal behind on 9. Arsenal’s front line produced the third, fourth and fifth-highest totals in the competition, a distribution that matches the club’s league phase record: eight wins from eight matches, 24 points, and a +19 goal difference.

The Chasing Pack

Behind the confirmed top six sits a group of players whose totals kept them in contention without reaching the leaders’ level. Victor Osimhen, Pedri, Mohamed Salah, Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior, Robert Lewandowski, Vitinha and Bruno Fernandes all finished the campaign with totals inside the chasing pack, and several of them produced their best returns in the knockout rounds rather than the league phase.

The pack is unusually broad because of the format itself. Eight league phase matches give every forward at least eight chances to build a total, and the knockout rounds that follow add up to five further fixtures for the clubs that survive them.

How the Scoring Chart Was Decided

Player scoring charts in the Champions League are settled on goals scored across the whole competition, with no tie-breaker applied between players of different clubs. Assists, minutes played and strength of opposition are not factored in, which makes the top-scorer award the clearest individual statistic the competition produces.

Across the season the field scored 655 goals in 189 matches, an average of more than three per game. Full season dates are on our fixtures page, and the player-by-player picture is covered on our star players page.
