Advertise With World Football Portal

World Football Portal reaches football followers who arrive with a specific intention: they want fixtures, results, standings and team news, not a feed of generic lifestyle content. If you want to reach that audience, this page explains what we offer, how we work, and how to start a conversation with the advertising desk.

Who We Are

We publish in 13 languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian and Turkish — across a site whose subject is international football in general and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League in particular. Our editorial subject matter is football data and reporting; our advertising is sold against that audience, not against general browsing behaviour. The advertising team and the editorial team are separate, and no advertisement is ever written by the newsroom.

Ad Formats

Responsive display units. Standard horizontal and vertical display units placed in the header, in the sidebar and above the footer. These are the most common placement and they perform steadily across languages and devices.

In-article native units. A unit inserted inside long-form articles and explainers, after the opening section. This placement suits brands that want to be associated with a specific subject — a competition, a club, a betting brand with a football product, an equipment supplier.

Sticky mobile bar. A single responsive unit that appears at the bottom of the screen on phones. It is frequency-capped and closable, because a unit the reader cannot dismiss is not a unit, it is an obstacle.

Custom and sponsored placements. For campaigns that need a dedicated slot around a tournament window, a sponsored explainer clearly labelled as advertising, or a data partnership, speak to the desk directly. Sponsored editorial is always produced by the editorial team, is labelled in the byline as advertising, and is never allowed to influence coverage elsewhere on the site.

How We Work

Every advertisement on this site is clearly distinguishable from editorial content. We do not run designs that imitate the site’s own navigation, we do not run misleading format labels such as “Sponsored link” on what is a display unit, and we do not accept creatives that make false claims about a product, a result or a prize. Creatives that encourage deceptive behaviour, that use deceptive phrasing, or that are simply unreadable on a phone are rejected. Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy of their own claims and for compliance with the law that applies to them.

Buying and Formats

Campaigns are sold on a cost-per-thousand basis with placement, language and device targeting available. Because the site is multilingual, the same creative does not work in every market: an advertisement written only in English will underperform in Japanese, Arabic or Hindi, and we will say so rather than take a placement we cannot fill with the right audience. Campaigns around the World Cup and around European club competition nights fill early, so early enquiry is worth more than early booking at a discount.

Data, Privacy and Measurement

We do not sell personal data and we do not accept payment for the personal data of our readers. Campaign measurement uses aggregated, non-identifying reporting. Where you need audience research, a brand-lift study or a category breakdown by language and market, ask the desk for what we can legitimately provide. Everything we collect about our own readers is handled under the terms described in our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy explains the categories used on this site and how to control them.

Working With Us

Send the advertising desk a short brief: the campaign objective, the markets and languages you want to reach, the budget range and the dates, and any creative you already have. We will come back with the placements that fit those requirements, the formats available and the lead time needed for creative production and approval. We prefer a short, specific brief to a long one that has to be interpreted, and we will tell you quickly if we are not the right partner for a campaign rather than stringing it along.

Contact

Advertising enquiries go to the advertising desk through the contact page. Please mark the subject line as advertising so the message reaches the right team first time. General editorial questions, corrections and privacy requests should go to the same page but will be routed to the appropriate desk — see the Editorial Policy for how our editorial work is produced and who is responsible for it.
